Visit Or Assessment

Where appropriate, we invite the learner and family to visit the college so we can understand whether our environment and curriculum are suitable.

Local Authority Consultation

For learners with an EHCP, the local authority will usually consult with the college before naming the provision. Parents and young people have statutory rights to request a specialist post-18 institution to be named in an EHCP.

Placement Decision

We consider whether we can meet need, support progress and deliver a suitable programme linked to EHCP outcomes.

Transition Planning

If a place is agreed, we plan the transition carefully to help the learner feel safe, prepared and confident.
